The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new requirement for candidates registering for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Applicants are now required to disclose their matriculation status as part of the registration process.

This measure is aimed at ensuring accurate records and verifying eligibility for the examination.

The directive applies to all candidates intending to sit for the 2026 UTME, and JAMB has warned that failure to provide the requested information may result in disqualification from the registration process.

Officials stated that the move is part of ongoing efforts to streamline admissions and reduce discrepancies in candidate records across Nigerian tertiary institutions.

Candidates are advised to ensure that all matriculation details are accurate and complete before completing their UTME registration.
