The book, titled “The Bar, The Bench, and The Crown: A Living Legend’s Contribution to Law and Justice in Nigeria,” documents the distinguished judicial journey and lasting contributions of the Emir of Ilorin to the advancement of law and justice in Nigeria.

The acceptance was formally communicated during a courtesy visit to Senator Saliu Mustapha on 20th December, 2025, by a delegation of NAKLAS led by its National President, H.E. AbdulRauf AbdulBasit.

During the visit, the Association’s leadership expressed sincere gratitude to the Turaki of Ilorin for his enduring support for NAKLAS and his unwavering dedication to promoting legal education and youth development in Kwara State.

In the course of the engagement, NAKLAS officially informed the Senator of its plan to appoint him as the Special Guest of Honour and Chief Launcher at the high-profile event, an invitation he graciously accepted.

The Association also congratulated Senator Saliu Mustapha on his recent honour as the first non-lawyer in the history of the Ilorin Bar to receive such recognition from the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ilorin Branch. The award was presented at the 2025 NBA Ilorin Annual Dinner held at the Arca Centre Arena, Ilorin, in acknowledgement of his notable contributions to the legal profession and the wider society.

NAKLAS described the Senator’s acceptance as a major boost to the forthcoming programme and reiterated its resolve to deliver a remarkable event that celebrates royalty, scholarship and service.

Details regarding the date and venue of the Book Launch and Luncheon will be made public in due course.
