Nigerian activist, Sunday Igboho ‘released’ in Benin Republic

A Nigerian activist, convener of Yoruba Nation, Sunday Adeyemo with the popular monicker as Sunday Ighoho, has been released.

According statement made available on Monday by Maxwell Adeleye, Communications Secretary, Ilana Omo Oodua (IOO) who made the announcement on Monday.

The spokesman said the Yoruba Nation agitator has been handed over to IOO leader, Prof. Banji Akintoye, by the Benin Republic Government.

IOO is the umbrella body of a number of Yoruba self-determination groups.

Adeleye said Igboho’s freedom is “a triumph of truth over darkness in Yoruba land”
