Gunmen suspected to be bandits have reportedly abducted two Chinese nationals in Kwara State.
According to SaharaReporters, sources confirmed that the two men were working at a BUA road construction site in the state when they were seized.
They were on duty along the Bode Saadu–Kaiama–Kosubosu road project last week when armed attackers stormed the location and took them away by force.
Sources informed the media that the masked assailants struck on December 1, whisking the workers from the site.

“The incident contributes to the rising wave of kidnappings in the state. Earlier today, six farmers were reportedly abducted after gunmen invaded the Lata community in Patigi Local Government Area.
It was gathered that the armed men entered the farmlands on Wednesday morning, abducting the farmers who were working on their fields.
A source said: “They came very early in the morning while the farmers were busy. They took all six of them into the bush, and up till now, there is no update about their whereabouts.”
Another resident described a separate incident on Tuesday, where bandits allegedly drove labourers from a farm and stole a seven-month-old Haojue motorcycle belonging to a local businessman.
The growing wave of violence has heightened fear across Kwara South and Kwara North, where residents report that terrorists now move unchecked through their communities.
