No fewer than seven persons, among them two government officials, were abducted after suspected bandits carried out a fresh attack on Oba community in Isin Local Government Area of Kwara State.
A source who spoke with Sahara Reporters said the incident occurred when the assailants invaded a construction site in the community and abducted workers at the location.
The victims were said to be actively engaged in a construction project when the attackers struck.
Two of those taken away were identified as staff of the Kwara State Ministry of Works.
“The attackers arrived suddenly, subdued the workers and forced them into the bush,” the source disclosed, noting that the operation was carried out without any immediate resistance.
As of the time of filing this report, the incident had not been officially confirmed by security agencies.
In a separate but related incident, suspected bandits reportedly killed two individuals in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The attack was said to have occurred along the Babanla–Oreke road on Monday, December 15, 2025.
Local sources said the victims were on a mission to purchase food items for residents of their community when they were ambushed and killed by the attackers.
