The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has declared a two-week warning strike.
ASUU president, Chris Piwuna, announced the strike during a press conference at the union’s national secretariat at the University of Abuja on Sunday.
He instructed all members of the union across the country to withdraw their services effective from midnight.
The union accused the government of insincerity in ongoing negotiations, which has hindered the implementation of its long-standing demands.
