The Oba of Lagos, His Royal Majesty Oba Rilwan Akiolu, has urged Nigerians to remain optimistic about the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

The royal father made the call on Wednesday during a courtesy visit by the 46th Flag Officer Commanding of the Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral A. A. Mustapha, at his palace.

He revealed that a dream he had was a sign that President Tinubu would serve two full terms, amounting to eight years in office.

Oba Ridwan also reaffirmed his confidence in the president’s reform agenda, noting that the present economic hardship was part of a wider restructuring process that would benefit the nation in the long run.

He described the current situation as unavoidable sacrifices required to achieve sustainable national growth and development.

“I dreamt that President Tinubu would be re-elected and complete eight years as President of Nigeria.

“There is no doubt that the country is facing challenges, but we will overcome them. The hardship we see today is a sacrifice for a better future,” the Oba said.

The monarch stressed that the responsibility of securing and rebuilding Nigeria should not rest solely on the government but should involve the collective commitment of all citizens.

He further commended officers and personnel of the Nigerian Navy for their dedication, discipline, and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

Speaking on the strategic importance of naval operations in Lagos, Oba Akiolu noted that the state’s security remains vital to national stability and called for sustained support for the Navy.

He also advocated the establishment of a joint intelligence board to enhance collaboration and intelligence sharing among security agencies.
