Reactions have followed a viral video showing a man who reportedly stormed a church vigil in Ibeku, Umuahia, Abia State, wielding a cutlass over noise pollution concerns.
In the footage circulating on social media on Tuesday, the man was seen inside the church holding a cutlass and ordering worshippers to leave, while members of the congregation attempted to pacify him.
The clip has since sparked widespread debate on X (formerly Twitter), with users weighing in on noise pollution caused by various human activities within residential areas.
A user, #mrboboskie wrote, “Noise pollution isn’t a good thing but the church members no do well, dem suppose give the man correct beating for showing up with a cutlass.”

Earlier report has that in October 2025 that the Lagos State Government shut down several facilities, including churches, over noise pollution and other environmental violations.
