As Muslims across the world set to start observing Ramadan, some countries have confirmed the sighting of the moon which will officially mark the beginning of the sacred lunar month.

According to tradition of the prophet, Muslims are strongly enjoined to start observing Ramadan once the new moon is sighted, and if the moon is not sighted, due to the cloudy of the sky, they are expected to make their shaaba’n 30th. Today in some Islamic climes is 29th of Sha’aban, while some count today as 30th of Sha’aban.
